Diamond stilettos are a girl’s new best friend

[Metro] You could walk off with heels worthy of a Cinderella… if you’ve got $337,000 to spare. The Borgezie Princess Constellation stilettos — crafted in either platinum or 18-carat gold, and encrusted with 1,290 diamonds — are the world’s most expensive shoes.

Designer Christopher Shellis, who’s been working on the stilettos for seven years, tells Metro why the footwear that requires a mortgage is a “bargain."

Christie’s expects $25 million for largest, flawless blue diamond

[Mining.com] The world's largest and flawless blue diamond will go under Christie’s hammer in Geneva next month, with the rare gem expected to fetch up to $25 million, the auction house has revealed.

 

"The Blue", a sparkling 13.22 carats pear-shaped rock, also known as "blue perfection", is supposed to be "the largest fancy vivid blue diamond in the world," according to Christie’s.

Astrophysicists have calculated that the conditions on the two biggest planets of the solar system are enough to produce stable oceans made from diamond.

The first time exhibitor at the Baselworld watch and jewelry fair will unveil the $55 million “Hallucination” ladies watch Thursday, the opening day of the event.

The London-based diamond and jewelry firm known for making grand statements says the timepiece covered in a kaleidoscope of 110 carats of rare fancy colored diamonds is “estimated to be the most valuable watch ever created.”
